Air Pressure Sensor Fault

The fastest and simplest way to fix this fault is to check the pressure of all the tires using a quality air pressure test.

Both sensors illuminate the dash light when the pressure reading is lower than it s supposed to be alerting the driver to a tire with low air pressure.

Itpms can not display or measure pressure values precisely they are relative by nature and need to be reset when checking tires and adjusting all pressure correctly. Remember you are setting the sensors back to zero so all tires must be properly inflated otherwise the sensors will not be calibrated properly and their readings will be incorrect. If the map sensor is failing or broken the ecm and thus the engine can t function properly. If you take your vehicle to your dealership or a dealer recommended repair shop they will likely be able to fix it in minutes with a scan tool.

Additionally the air pressure gauge may be miscalibrated or the battery that powers the sensor may have died. Itpms do not use physical pressure sensors but monitor several wheel rotation speeds and other signs outside of the vehicle s tires to measure air pressures.
