In ceramic industry glazes are often sprayed especially in sanitary ware. In the production of smaller bisque fired ceramics it is almost always possible to dip glaze ware. Has anyone used this method and what should i do about thinning the glaze with out thinning color. Clean guns with mineral spirits and periodic drop of muriatic acid which dissolves away mineral deposits from from sprayer nozzle. Apply enough pressure to remove some of the sheen but not too hard that you make deep scratch marks. However this is seldom an option for single fire ware especially if large.
